Garage Door Repair and Installation in Windermere

Windermere sits on the Butler Chain of Lakes in southwest Orange County, about forty-five minutes from our Sanford base.

Estate doors and lakeside air

Much of the work here involves oversized, custom or carriage-style doors on larger properties, frequently in wood or wood-clad finishes. Those look superb and they are demanding: heavier than a stock steel panel, harder on springs and hinges, and far more sensitive to moisture. Beside the lakes that matters, because damp air works on timber and on the steel hardware carrying it at the same time.

Wood doors in this setting need their finish maintained and their hardware lubricated on a real schedule, not when someone remembers. Neglected, a wood door will warp, and a warped door stops sealing and starts binding in its tracks.

Before you replace

On a high-value door we look at refinishing, section replacement and hardware renewal before recommending a full replacement. It is usually the cheaper answer and often the better-looking one.
